Recycled Plastic Toy Tea Set

Recycled Toy Tea SetBrewing an imaginary pot of tea is a really good thing for the earth when young hosts use the environmentally friendly tea set from green toys. Made of recycled plastic, this seventeen piece set includes a tea pot with lid, a sugar bowl with lid, a creamer, four cups, four saucers, and four teaspoons. The green toys tea set is made from recycled plastic milk containers that save energy, reduce landfill waste and lower greenhouse gas emissions, all in the name of good green fun. Rubberwood is used to make toys that are bright, colorful and are good for the environment. In the past, rubber trees that were no longer producing latex would be burned. Now, these abandoned trees are utilized to make sustainable playthings.

Sunshine In a Jar - Solar Powered Night Light

Now you can enjoy that same sunny radiance you love during the day, all night long! Although it’s not quite the same brightness, this fresh-from-the-jar light is a great energy efficient way to softly light your home or garden.

Inside this traditional Mason jar lies a high tech solar cell, rechargeable battery and low energy LED lamps. During the day, place the jar in a sunlit area. The solar cell creates an electrical current that charges the battery over a few hours. That energy is then used at night to power the three LED lamps inside the jar. At night, the warm-colored LED lights will cast off a subtle, natural glow and will look like you have captured a tiny sun in the jar. The light sensor inside automatically activates the lights when it gets dark or lights are turned out.

Make your own natural baby wipes.

I know, to some it might seem a bit tedious & messy.  Like you don’t have enough to  do!  But really, once you mix up the solution, the hard part is done!  By taking little steps along the way as our children are growing, we can add to their health without adding to the burden on the environment.

You’ll need the following:

In a bowl, place aloe vera gel. Add to this the lavender oil and rosewater & glycerin. Mix well with a wooden spoon. When well mixed, add castor oil, and mix again. If the solution is still “thick”, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until you have a liquid solution that can be poured.

Pour the cleaning solution over the cloth wipes in the plastic container, and place the lid. The solution will make its way through the layers of cloth within a few hours and be ready for use.

Alternative: Instead of combining the solution over the cloth wipes, you can store each separately. Place the cleaning solution in a 4-8 oz. bottle and when ready to use, mix 1/4 cup wash with 1/4 cup warm water to cleanse baby using the cloth wipes.
